Terms of Service

Effective: June 5, 2026

This is an agreement between you and Aligned ("Aligned," "we"). By using Aligned, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. One account per person. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.

2. What Aligned is

A tool that measures compatibility and helps you connect with people you choose. We provide the platform; we do not introduce, vet, or background-check anyone.

3. Your conduct

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or harm others; impersonate anyone or create fake profiles; post illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content; upload content you do not have the rights to; or scrape, misuse, or attack the service. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process your content (such as photos and answers) solely to operate Aligned. You are responsible for what you share.

5. Payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe in advance on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future charges at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Safety — please read

Aligned does not run background or identity checks. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other people, online and in person. Use good judgment and take precautions when meeting anyone.

7. As-is; liability

Aligned is provided "as is," without warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for the conduct of any user, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months.

8. Termination

You can stop using Aligned anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or to protect the service or its users.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and disputes will be handled in its courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; we will post changes here and update the date. Continued use means you accept them.
