Help & Contact
The questions people actually ask, and how to reach us.
Is this a dating app?
Not yet. Right now Aligned tells you how compatible you are with someone specific: you both answer the questionnaire, you both choose how much to reveal, and you both get the report. There's no browsing feed and no messaging. The dating side opens city by city, once enough people have joined — put your city on the waitlist and we'll email you the day it opens.
Do they have to answer too?
Yes — that's the point. It's a two-way read, not you grading someone from the shadows. You both answer, you both control what's shown, you both see the result. “Want to see how aligned we actually are?” turns out to be an easy text to send.
What does the other person actually see?
You each choose how much detail to share, and the report uses the lower level. Level 1 shows the headline and domain scores. Level 2 also shows the question details behind the scores. Dealbreaker conflicts are shown at either level.
Is the score a prediction?
No — and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. It compares each person's answers with what the other said they would accept, while accounting for their priorities. It can't see chemistry, attraction, or timing. Read more on How scoring works.
What if we're not aligned?
A low score isn't a verdict on the relationship. It means your stated answers and preferences fit less closely in the areas that counted. The score cannot measure chemistry, attraction, or timing.
Why do the two of us see different numbers?
Each person's answers are compared with the other's preferences and priorities. The report shows both perspectives separately and combines them in the headline score.
What's the persona quiz, then?
The fun part. Four letters, derived from your real answers, made to be shared. It's deliberately separate from the compatibility score, and we'll never tell you which persona to date — nobody making that claim can back it.
What is the dating log? Who can see it?
Private notes on the people you're dating — who, when, how it actually felt. Nobody sees it but you. We don't analyse it, summarise it, or feed it to anything. Ever.
When does dating open in my city?
When there are enough active people there that it's actually worth your time — a half-empty city wastes your evenings, and we're not going to do that to you. There's no fixed number; it depends on how active a city is, not just how many signed up. Joining the waitlist and inviting people genuinely moves it. Meanwhile, the rest of Aligned already works: check how compatible you are with anyone you know.
What do I get if I pay?
During early access, everything is free. Paid plans will be on the Pricing page in plain numbers when they arrive — and whatever price you join at never goes up while you're subscribed.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
The details, including what happens to reports you've already shared, are on Your data.
